Rose
Hilton
Rose Hilton studied at Beckenham School of Art and at the Royal College of art, 1954-57. After returning from Rome where she had studied on an Abbey Minor Scholarship, she married the painter Roger Hilton and moved to Bottallack, Cornwall. Rose, whilst bringing up her children and nursing her husband during his long illness, painted little, but after Roger’s death, Rose took drawing lessons with Cecil Collins and resumed painting. She has had numerous shows and is a richly colourful painter of interiors and people.
